Istoria Bespoke Petrol Cross Sawn Oak Designed by Afroditi Krassa
OVERVIEW
When approached to design a new look for the popular Athenian restaurant, Suvlaki, Afroditi Krassa chose to celebrate the London restaurant’s rich Greek heritage to complement the fantastic food it serves.
In contrast to what might normally be considered quintessentially ‘Greek’, Krassa chose to celebrate Athen’s urban, underground world of art that has emerged over the past few decades, turning it into a powerhouse of culture.
Graffiti art, deep blues and blacks were chosen to give Suvlaki a modern, edgy look, and Istoria’s Bespoke Petrol with a cross sawn oak helped to create the understated, classic finish.
