GRIDSERVE Electric Forecourt ®

Project Overview

The worlds first Electric Forecourt ® in Braintree, Essex, to charge electric vehicles with 100% renewable energy designed by Architects Bisset Adam. It uses a clean energy sourced from one of the UK’s first subsidy-free solar farms at Clayhill in Bedfordshire, overhead solar canopies, and a battery capable of storing enough energy to drive 24,000 miles. The Electric Forecourt® is powered by clean solar energy and clever battery storage technology. This keeps prices low, power reliable and makes anyone who charges here a planetary guardian. Braintree Forecourt is the future of Sustainability.

The Brief

The Splash Lab was approached and asked to supply products that would be in-keeping with the charging facilities and retail space, an innovative and modern design, aesthetically pleasing, and user friendly.

The Solution

The bespoke modular Monolith basin system with a waste slot in Bisque Corian with Bisque Corian ip panels to match the monolith basin was a perfect fit for this project. Paired with our award-winning Ribbon Collection, a unique three-product hand-washing system in Satin and our sleek toilet brush holder, and sensor operated flush valve. Our Modular systems requires less energy this means it is more energy efficient. They are manufactured off site in a specialist facility. Building in a controlled environment means that external factors are minimised. Reducing the amount of waste materials by building off site. Equipment and machinery doesn’t need to be transported. Easy and fast installation, saving fuel costs and keeping our carbon footprint down. #BuyBritish #deliver, #sustainableenergy, #electricvehicles # GRIDSERVE Sustainable Energy Limited
