Glazerite and Luton claim UK’s first all-recycled window borough
OVERVIEW
VEKA fabricator Glazerite Windows has achieved a ground-breaking agreement with Luton BC to switch entirely to recycled PVCU for future window replacements.
Luton is the first UK borough to commit fully to recycled windows, using VEKA's Infinity profile, which contains a core of recycled PVCU locked inside virgin polymer and uses less than 1/4 of the natural resources, and only 1/3 the carbon footprint of conventional equivalents.
The recycled material comes from VEKA’s plant, one of only several in the world capable of recycling PVCU pure enough to be put back into windows.
