Dog's Trust

OVERVIEW

Dogs Trust spent more than £10 million creating two brand new rehoming centres – designed to be the world’s greenest dog rescue centres and to help the charity reduce its carbon “pawprint”. Following the successful completion of the first project at Roden in May 2011, Sika-Trocal was chosen for the second site at Wymeswold. The projects included a 610sqm barrel-vaulted green roof on the rehoming building, a 190sqm roof on the intake kennels, a 61m long green roof with a steep pitch of 16 degrees, and a central hexadecagon roof lantern sealed to a lower octagonal roof section.
