Course and Flow - a limestone sculpture by Rachael Champion
OVERVIEW
Course and Flow, a sculpture by Rachael Champion for the Hornsey Park Clarendon development was fabricated by stoneCIRCLE from a block of Derbyshire Fossil limestone. Champion created a topographical map with the hidden Moselle Brook, that flows through the borough of Haringey, delineated in blue resin. Related words, phrases, and places were carved into the block’s surface. The sides were left untouched to provide a seating area.
It took 3 weeks to complete - a week being shaped on the 5-axis machine and two carving the designs and inscriptions, and filling the river channel with blue epoxy resin.
