Cafe Football scores with Armourcoat PPX

OVERVIEW

Cafe Football, a 140-seat restaurant in Westfield Stratford City, has specified a new external render system from Armourcoat. PPX is a polymer-modified limestone render system suitable for new build and renovation projects, producing stunning honed and textured decorative surface finishes.

A GG Hospitality business venture led by former Manchester United teammates Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville, Cafe Football aims to bring an authentic football culture to the dinner table. Designed by Checkland Kindleysides, the atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and welcoming, with hints to football culture running throughout the menu and décor.

Armourcoat PPX (Polished Plaster eXternal) has been used to striking effect on the full width external façade, incorporating the distinctive Cafe Football branding used throughout. An urban concrete effect has been achieved with additional layering techniques to achieve the desired look. In addition, large branded planters in the same finish marks out the al-fresco dining space.

PPX offers a low maintenance, durable weatherproof coating for building exteriors or areas prone to moisture. A complete PPX External Wall Insulation system is also available to provide outstanding thermal insulation tested to stringent ETAG (European Technical Approval Guidelines) standards.
