The 828m high Burj Khalifa in Dubai is the tallest building in the world, has the greatest number of stories (163), highest occupied floor and the elevator with the longest travel distance. It dwarfs Australia’s highest building, the 322.5m Q1 on the Gold Coast, and is also more than twice the height of the 328m sky tower in Auckland. But it has something in common with both -contending with constant and sometimes vigorous winds.
