Bruynzeel Museum storage: The Bowes Museum

OVERVIEW

Housed in a French-style chateau in the picturesque market town of Barnard Castle, The Bowes Museum was founded in the late 19th Century. Treasures include furniture, textiles, paintings, sculptures and ceramics drawn from a range of European styles and periods. As part of an extensive renovation, the Bowes Museum doubled its storage space and improved conditions for its paintings and books by adding modern storage systems. Bruynzeel fitted out store rooms with ArteStore picture racking and installed Compactus mobile shelving in the archive and rare books store. In the library, Bruynzeel fitted Sysco static library shelving,.
