Bruynzeel Library storage: The Word South Shields Library
OVERVIEW
The library boasts an impressive range of facilities including exhibition and digital media space and children’s storytelling area. As well as being home to a number of local community groups, the library regularly welcomes local schoolchildren to use the latest technology in the FabLab studio and engages young visitors in immersive story sessions in StoryWorld.
Bruynzeel installed an efficient shelving system, with a clean and simple aesthetic. The shelving in the public areas of the library features steel shelving encased in American white oak veneer cladding, creating a visually pleasing design with good sight lines throughout the building.
