Advantage® Graphene for Gutters & CEC - Greenford Royal Mail Depot

OVERVIEW

Greenford Royal Mail Depot

The problem:

  • A valley gutter single ply membrane had been applied some years ago. Various areas have failed and lifted due to debonding and splits at the top of the membrane
  • There was an EDPM applied over single ply and was failing along the flash band
  • Various areas of corrosion were also appearing on the metal roof

How did we approach the challenge:

Site inspection between our technical team and the new contractors to asses the amount of gutter work required – it was only the laps and joins and split areas needed to be reinforced. Various Patch tests were carried out to the required standard to see which products would work best.

Delivering the solution:

  • Alltimes Advantage® for Gutters applied as the first phase of job. Advantage® Sealant was also used along with reinforcement fleece onto the Single Ply Membrane
  • Fully reinforced with superior fleece to give extra tensile strength. Only the laps and joins and split areas needed to be reinforced all other areas were coated with a single coat of Advantage® for Gutters
  • Alltimes Advantage® Graphene applied to cut edge corrosion areas. Along with Advantage® Sealant and Primer where required

How did our client win:

  • Complete Advantage® solution to protect against all areas of damage and corrosion = Longevity of repair and reassurance
  • Client completed the job without having to fully strip existing single ply membrane = Cost saving
  • Utilising quick curing products the job was completed quickly and without waste going to landfill = Time saving as well as ecological saving
  • Product containing Graphene = Enhanced corrosion resistance increasing longevity of repair
  • Dedicated training and site visits = best practice and experience
  • 15 year Guarantee
