TOKYO PIZZA, LONDON

OVERVIEW

At the start of 2020 a new Japanese fusion-inspired pizza restaurant located underground in the former Bombay Bicycle Club premises opened its doors in Little Venice, London. The brief was to create a modern and functional space with lots of atmosphere that fused together both cultures. The project wasn’t without its challenges either as the build was located in a small subterranean space. Having decided on the concept for the space, FAB Architects contacted our commercial team. One of our specification consultants who specialises in the Leisure sector, took the project requirements onboard and presented wood floor options that would deliver everything required of a floor being used in a commercial environment. and meet the design and style elements FAB were looking for. This bold interior uses the dark Woodworks by Ted Todd herringbone floor to seamlessly bring different areas of the restaurant together and wooden slats and shou sugi ban textured walls deliver a raw but welcoming environment.
