Bean Coffee & Cocktails, Liverpool

OVERVIEW

Like so many other businesses in the hospitality sector, Bean Coffee and Cocktails, St Pauls Square in Liverpool, has faced numerous challenges over the past 18 months due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The company has had to adapt and adjust its offering in line with social distancing regulations, whilst also keeping customers happy and ensuring the continuation of its business. One way it has achieved this is through the refurbishment of its outside area, using Ecodek’s composite decking boards to create a beautiful, sustainable space for patrons now and in the future. Leah Roberts, Community Manager at Bean Coffee, explains why Ecodek’s sustainable decking was chosen over its competitors: "With early 2021 lockdown restrictions meaning we could only offer customers outside seating, we realised we needed to give our outside area at Bean Coffee and Cocktails, St Pauls Square an upgrade. We wanted to create a cosy outdoor area that was both aesthetic and durable for all seasons. “We chose Ecodek primarily because sustainability is a very important part of our ethos here at Bean Coffee. We are proud of the steps we have taken over the past few years to ensure we are becoming more conscious about our environmental impact. With Ecodek being relatively local and the products being recycled, recyclable and carbon negative it just really made sense to us to choose them. “We were extremely pleased with all aspects of customer service with Ecodek, it was seamless from the initial enquiry to the delivery. The sales team were very informative and helpful, and the delivery guy couldn’t have been more accommodating onsite!” continues Leah. Bean Coffee selected our Heritage composite decking, in slate grey, for the renovation. Slip resistant, splinter free, and low maintenance, these sustainable decking boards are the perfect product for creating outdoor seating areas in bars, cafes and restaurants, where safety is paramount. However, providing customers with an attractive, comfortable, and relaxing environment is also a priority. The modern, yet timeless, slate grey Heritage decking boards provide this unique balance of safety and beauty, combined with longevity and ease of upkeep – a combination Bean Coffee and Cocktails is extremely happy with, as Leah concludes: “The finished product is amazing; we are very happy with how it has turned out! We added some evergreen and seasonal plants to the planters and put some parasols with heaters in and it really has made the space look incredible! Our customers were pretty blown away with the transformation as well and are enjoying the new space we have created."
