ecoSHIELD™ Fully Toughened Heat Soaked Monolithic Glass is an advanced safety glazing product engineered for high-performance architectural applications requiring superior impact resistance, thermal shock resistance, and virtually zero spontaneous breakage risk. Each unit undergoes a comprehensive manufacturing process combining thermal toughening with specialized heat soak treatment.

Manufacturing Process:

• Thermal Toughening: Controlled heating to 650°C followed by rapid cooling creates surface compression stress of minimum 90 MPa
• Heat Soak Treatment: BS EN 14179-1 compliant process at 290°C ± 10°C for minimum 2 hours eliminates nickel sulfide inclusions
• Osprey® Quality Control: Real-time optical inspection measuring optical distortion and surface quality with millidiopter precision

• Glass Type: Fully toughened soda lime silicate conforming to BS EN 12150-1
• Characteristic bending strength: 120 N/mm² minimum
• Impact resistance: Class 1(C)1 to BS EN 12600 and Class A/B per CAN/CGSB 12.1-2017
• Thermal stress resistance: 200°C temperature differential minimum
• Spontaneous breakage risk: Reduced to less than 1 in 10,000 through heat soak treatment
