When Fed Square was first opened in 2002 the original design expected 4 million visitors per annum. Fed Square now has 10 million visitors per annum and so have undergone an upgrade project of their main public amenities in St Paul's Court. Dyson Airblade Tap hand dryers have been implemented on this project to minimize the mess from paper waste and efforts involved with re-stocking of paper towers.

The University is open every day to thousands of people and its bathrooms in particular have an extremely high footfall. Paper towels, in combination with a few hand dryers, led to considerable unwanted mess and complaints, which in turn also incurred a high, ongoing cost to supply hand towels to all campus bathrooms. Ferguson Architects, who were tasked to refurbish the UWA upgrade suggested the Dyson Airblade Tap hand dryers as the preferred product to install across the 60 bathrooms, due to its combined water tap and hand dryer capabilities. Designed to hold 5000 people when Parliament meets, the 32 hectare site is where Australia’s biggest decisions are made by agents of our citizens. RBA has consistently provided for Capital Hill during the 21st Century in a bid to provide world-class products for Australia’s representatives.Located in the heart of Canberra in the Australian Capital Territory, the Australian Parliament House was designed to better accommodate a larger number of people, meaning a greater amount of facilities for its growing occupancy. The building is designed to be spacious and not intimidating to the public, encouraging citizens to visit. Catering for Capital Hill’s requirements of security, high traffic and minimal maintenance, RBA has supplied a number of Bobrick Accessories specific to this project, suitable for both the highest of political representatives and the average citizen.RBA’s Bobrick Contura™ Surface Mounted Soap Dispenser, or the B4112, is made of strong Stainless Steel and holds a capacity of 1.2L. The unit is Antibacterial Soap resistant, allowing for its users to maintain optimal hygiene without wear and tear. Needing nominal maintenance, the B4112 is ideal for high traffic locations. Exhibiting a Satin Finish, the unit is a subtle addition to the facilities whilst simultaneously complimenting the silver notes in the Washroom design.Also pictured below is RBA’s Bobrick Trimline™ Recessed 2-in-1 Combination Unit, containing both a Paper Towel Dispenser and Waste Receptacle B38034. Sydney Airport is the busiest airport in Australia and one of the oldest continually running airports in the world, with an average of 44 million passengers visiting the airport each year, from domestic to international travellers.With the large amount of people coming to Sydney Airport on a daily basis, there is always potential for dirt and moisture from the soles of shoes to enter the facility, which can cause the floor to be dirty and a risk of people injuring themselves. To eliminate the risk of hazards to visitors, the CS Pedigrid entrance mat with Graphite inserts was specified to combat the dirt and debris.Not only is the Pedigrid aesthetically pleasing but it also offers high performance in terms of rolling load capability and dirt and moisture trapping, making it ideal for areas with high foot and wheel traffic. The Pedigrid is a 44mm deep, recess mounted system of removable grill sections that allows dirt, water, and other waste to fall between the heel proof treads into the matwell below, this can significantly reduce the cleaning and maintenance frequencies.Overall, the Pedigrid for Sydney Airport is proven to combat dirt and debris entering the building, whilst maintaining entrance area aesthetics and overall passenger safety.

This innovative, multi-level residential building in central Adelaide is fitted with water and energy efficient fixtures and fittings by GWA Bathrooms & Kitchens, in partnership with DFC/Housing. Located at 102 Waymouth Street, the building consists of 146 apartments for Housing SA and 30 youth service apartments.

This was another project with Pinnacle Commercial Interiors, one of our most trusted partners when it comes to commercial fit-outs. They specialise in restaurant interiors and have been selected to head the fit-outs of multiple Bavarian locations nationwide and were also responsible for the design and implementation of New Zealand's first Bavarian restaurant.

Following cleaning and application of our ECOCLEAN coatings the bathroom presented with a reading of 887 RLU on the Lumitester showing a dramatic improvement in health and safety of the bathroom. Further testing also concluded that the bathroom was much less slippery than prior to the application.ECOCLEAN has provided this bathroom with a fresher and cleaner environment which has also improved the health and safety of all visiting students.COMMENTECOCLEAN coatings have been independently laboratory tested on a wide range of common substances responsible for acrid smells and health issues. These substances are the source of unpleasant odours in a range of environments including bathrooms, smoking areas, gyms, and areas near food waste.

Occupying a 2134m2 block of premium land, Leopold residential apartments is one of the newest commercial/residential developments in Melbourne’s residential and business district. The project involved the internal demolition of existing commercial fit out, the construction of an additional six levels and the fit-out of 174 residential apartments as well as four office tenancies. The works undertaken comprised of a new wall facade, the attachment of 97 new balconies to the existing structure, and installation of a structural steel transfer level with lightweight floor system (Powerscope).

This glamorous showroom development provides a fitting location to display the prestigious Maserati high performance automotive range.

The £70 million project saw SAS International design and manufacture bespoke spun alum­inium profiled discs, acoustic metal wall panelling and System 600 rafts in the new terminal. The architects 3D Reid had to make the building light, airy and modern yet the façade and various materials used within the terminal had to withstand potential of a security breach. All products installed ‘land-side’ were required to meet the requirements of Aviation Security in Airport Development (ASIAD). The result answers aesthetic demands, yet provides the highest level of performance for the requirements of the building. For the design to be realised, square aluminium sheets were cut by the manufacturer into a circle and spun into a dome. Installation in such an environment means safety cables had to be attached to each disc, wall panel, tile and raft to ensure they do not fall and cause injury. Allowance for safety cables to be attached had to be taken into consideration during the design phase. Large vertical wall panels with an ultra-micro perforation were also specified to provide the necessary acoustic properties required for this vast open space. The very fine 0.7mm perforation, with 1% open area, helps to manage acoustics within the large open spaced terminal. The off-site modular manufacture of the architectural metalwork products meant installation was quicker, which causes less disruption to such a busy environment, and in addition there is no waste on site. Aesthetic versatility can be achieved using SAS International Architectural Metalwork throughout projects. It also allows for inte­gration of M&E services into the building design while meeting design demands and durability requirements. The range includes acoustic baffles, acoustic wall panels, air handling units, bespoke ceilings, and column casings.

Rondo supplied Steel Stud and Track, KEY-LOCK Furring Channel and Top Cross Rail, and EXANGLE P50 Shadowline Stopping Angle to complete the base fit out and wall linings on 45 levels of the building.

The casino is the largest in the world with 3,400 slot machines, 800 gambling tables and a 15,000 seated arena for entertainment/sports events. The Venetian Macau is so large that 90 Boeing 747 jumbo jets could fit into it.

As part of the ‘green’ refurbishment of the Accor Vacation Club Apartments, GWA Bathrooms & Kitchens supplied highly-efficient fittings and fixtures to complement the greater environmental awareness of the new design. Improved water conservation was achieved by installing the latest in efficient flush systems and reduced flow tapware in all the bathrooms and kitchens.

Buildup Interior carried out construction of the internal fit out packages - Rondo Steel Stud Walls and Ceilings in July 2018 that had been designed with Kelly Zammit. Buildup Interior chose to use Rondo over competitive brands due to a long standing relationship with, and understanding of its service offering.

St George Community Housing required a modern flooring solution that not only fit the unit style but also ticked all the boxes for building compliance. Angus Nguyen, Development Manager at St George Community Housing explains how they came to the decision to use Korlok by Karndean Designflooring, a rigid core product for this development.

GWA Bathrooms & Kitchens supplied a full schedule of fittings for the Alluvion Tower project. Situated in the heart of Perth’s CBD, Alluvion sets the benchmark for office design and sustainability. GWA’s tapware, bathroom basins, urinals and toilet suites were selected both for the quality of their aesthetics and their distinctive, in-built technologies that limit unnecessary water wastage and associated costs.

Rondo provided a range of market leading wall and ceiling systems for both buildings 3 and 4. Our KEYLOCK Concealed Suspended Ceiling System and Steel Stud and Track Wall Framing System were used for the internal fit out, completed by AUSTRAL Interiors. SMTM Projects used our 1.15 BMT Stud and Track with top hats.

Fogarty Bros, who are the main commercial plasters in Bundaberg for over 15 years, were contracted to install the internal and external linings. Due to the region’s conditions, external wall designs for cyclonic conditions were needed, pre-construction meetings were needed to discuss benefits and limitations. The builder used extra structural steel where needed and custom suit windows to fit the Rondo design.

GWA Bathroom & Kitchens worked collaboratively with Architectus and Grocon to supply a full schedule of fittings, including reduced flow tapware and water saving toilet suites. This installation, together with the building’s innovative recycling technology, is saving approximately 100,000 litres of water per day, helping 1 Bligh meet its 6 Green Star rating - the highest Green Star rating for a commercial development across NSW.

The Hadspen Bull Run Reserve playground is an excellent example of a community playground that suits everyone! Located within the Meander Valley Council in Tasmania, the park is a central hangout for the community in Hadspen. The vast range of equipment within the park is what makes this playground so special. There is something for all ages and interests, with a play unit, flying fox, multi-user rocker, wheelchair carousel, swings, single rocker, interactive panels, and a fitness station. While there is plenty for children, the fitness station also provides for the older demographic that may be minding the children on the playground, or doing their morning workout. Having the playground accessible was an important feature in the brief provided to adventure+. To reflect this, our design team included rubber paths for access through the playground, with access to low-level interactive panels and a wheelchair carousel. With our serious approach to play, we always aim to make our playground designs engaging and enjoyable. But, making the playground attractive is also essential. Selecting a modern colour scheme, as well as a play panel with an engraved bull image, makes the playground enticing, and ties the design to the name of the park.

A Tricell system was designed by SAS International to fit the "Y" shaped departure lounge at Santiago Airport. SAS International has designed, manufactured and installed metal ceiling solutions for both interior and exterior areas of the new 74,000m² terminal of the Aeropuerto de Santiago, Spain. SAS810 tricell has been installed to create a triangular aesthetic in the departure lounges. This open cell system provides a geometric form that can easily be repeated for a striking finish. The flexible approach in SAS International’s design process enabled this unique solution to fit within the ‘Y’ shaped designed departure lounge. Installed in the main terminal and baggage hall, as well as exterior ceiling areas, is the linear profile system SAS710. The linear slat ceiling, designed so that each slat lines up neatly with the next, forms a perfect row resulting in clean and simple architectural lines. SAS710 was also chosen for the exterior of the building to provide continuity of design. Using specially designed slat retaining angles, the system has been adapted for strength and durability to prevent slats from being dislodged in high wind.

This new building was constructed by Lend Lease with Foxville Projects Group (NSW) being appointed as the lead fit out contractor. Rondo supplied an extensive range of ceiling and partition systems, as well as technical support throughout the project, which included design for all the internal walls, shelf loads, balustrade design utilising stud and track as well as ongoing support throughout the project construction period in regards to Rondo products within the design criteria.

Leading the way for architectural and educational public school design in New Zealand, Hobsonville Point Schools are located on the former Hobsonville Air Base, around 25 kilometres from Auckland. GWA Bathrooms & Kitchens partnered with the New Zealand Ministry of Education and Learning Infrastructure Partners to ensure this innovative education precinct met its key design and sustainability objectives by supplying a range of market-leading, water-efficient bathroom fixtures and fittings.
