Orchard Manufacturing is an Australian health company that has been producing fruit-based laxatives under the Nu-Lax brand, since 1937.The organisation’s new state-of-the-art, purpose-built facility - located in the Victorian suburb of Rowville - delivers both superior function and out-of-the-box design as well as providing a new home for the long-time Melbourne-based manufacturer.To ensure the new facility’s processing and packaging zones met the strict hygiene standards, 1, 300 m2 of Flowfresh SR was installed in Warm Buff, Grey and a custom Aqua Blue shade.The HACCP Internationally certified Flowfresh SR system was chosen thanks to its seamless, antimicrobial finish as well as its abrasion and chemical resistant profile.Flowfresh SR provides excellent chemical resistance against detergents, oil ingredients, caustic soda, sugar syrups, methanol and a variety of acids. The system delivers excellent abrasion resistance against impact as well as sustained foot and trolley traffic.Flowfresh SR is resistant to thaw and thermal fluctuations from -40°C to +120°C, making it suitable for cool rooms and cold storage areas as well as those areas subject to high-temperature cooking processes and hot-water wash-downs. Slip resistance can be tailored to suit the individual needs of a given processing area.

Supercar, Super FinishThe new Porsche dealership in central Hamburg provides customers with the high-level comfort, convenience and safety associated with the brand. A striking new complex is being erected in Hamburg city centre, which includes the Porsche Center Hamburg Alstergate, due to open this spring. Hamburg is a leading Porsche stronghold, reputed to have the highest density of Porsche owners in the world, with a 0.8% quota of the city’s car population and nearly 1,000 vehicles a year sold regionally since 2014. Covering almost 8,000m2 of land, the Alstergate plot has over 200 parking spaces, including an underground car park with valet parking service. Attending to the growing Porsche model range, the building will have four new charging points for electric and hybrid vehicles and will be one of the few German competence centres for the 918 Spyder supercar and Carrera GT. Along with the new building, Porsche’s workforce in the region is set to grow to 115 employees.Such a prominent Porsche dealership in northern Germany’s foremost metropolis demands extraordinary standards from the construction and décor contractors entrusted with the project. Applicators Strahl, Reinigungs & Anstrichtechnik of Kiel, with whom Hempel already has long-standing commercial relations, were required to produce the extra smooth surface finishes sought by thedesigners. Furthermore, public safety is an inherent factor that has to be considered in all aspects of construction, so applicators chose to apply Hempacore One as the intermediate coat on ready-primed steelworks, prior to finishing with a topcoat of our Hempathane 87481 enamel.Both Hempacore One 43600 and its fast-drying 43601 version provide up to 120 minutes retardation in the event of fire, a factor of great importance in buildings designed for public access. Significantly on this occasion, Hempacore One does not just offer excellent passive fire protection but also certain additional features of great value to designers and applicators alike. The fact that its full fire retardant properties can be achieved with much lowerlayer thicknesses makes for speedier work and also more natural aesthetics on visible steelwork. Add to this problem damaged aging torch membrane, combined with Governments regulations regarding solar absorption and reflectivity of the building posed a real challenge for the applicator when determining a solution for the job.A second challenge for this job is the location of the building was located in the built up CBD of Parramatta with neighbours in close proximity, which meant the solution needed to be neighbourhood friendly.SolutionGiven the complexity of solution required for such a job AlphaGuard BIO is the only product which ticks all the boxes. AlphaGuard BIO is an extremely high performing composite waterproofing system, designed with a focus on roofing restoration. Due to AlphaGuard BIO being a liquid, it makes it ideal for jobs where there are machinery on the roof which needs to be worked around.AlphaGuard BIO has the ability to be installed over various existing roofing membranes in order to minimise tenant disruption and extend the life of the roof for an additional 20 years.It cures to form a durable rubber membrane surface that provides a lasting and easy-to clean waterproof coating. AlphaGuard BIO may be used to apply a seamless, monolithic waterproof membrane to concrete, primed metal, or existing roofing membrane surfaces.AlphaGuard BIO’s low VOC will minimise offensive odours to current tenants and applicators. The white top coat provides high solar reflectance, reducing the building’s operation costs and complying with Section J1.3(b) of the 2019 NCC.

They wanted to avoid grime and salt accumulation on the roof system with minimal maintenance from the volunteers and to reduce maintenance costs.The architect designed the outside surfaces so they would be durable in the marine environment and easy to maintain. With difficult access to the roof, the builders decided on ECOCLEAN to help with maintenance and cleaning of glazed ceramic roofingMATERIAL & APPLICATIONECOCLEAN Porosity SealerECOCLEAN Self-Cleaning CoatingOUTCOMEUsing the power of daylight, rainwater and dew, ECOCLEAN created a self-cleaning roof that continually breaks down algae, mould and organic matter, which can cause unsightly stains. Ausco Modular is one of Australia’s largest construction companies using modular technology. Ausco are part of the world’s largest modular solutions group, Algeco Scotsman, whose global reach and R&D capability is leading the industry on the world’s stage. A full roof replacement and partial renovation was undertaken at the Brisbane manufacturing site. Metroll is proud to be involved with supply of materials to this project and worked closely with the roofing contractor to ensure the project ran smoothly.

Retrofitted to the roof of a large, multi-level shopping centre without interrupting regular retail operations.THE SOLUTION: We supplied over 30 EasyMech MR (purlin mount) and Span+ (rafter mount), HVACR platforms in Kit form.Our Span+ (rafter-mount) system, was designed to be 100% penetration-free and installed on the surface of the roof over the rafters.We also supplied walkways, up & overs, and ladders – all in Kit form! The Chadstone Shopping Centre in Melbourne, Australia, is an amazing piece of engineering and architecture. With its stunning gridshell glass roof, the extended building is now the largest enclosed shopping centre in the Southern Hemisphere.

This project is a great example where the client wanted to realise the instant savings of Con-form Group’s engineer certified, rafter mounted system, over costly traditional mounting systems.With a mixture of our EasyMech MR (purlin-mounted), and Span+ (rafter-mounted), HVAC platforms - the client was able to successfully mount all mechanical units across the roof of this mixed-use development in Tasmania.Spanning over 9 metres, this retrofitted Span+ (rafter-mounted), installation answered the clients brief in more ways than one.Rated to 2.5kPa and attached to Con-form Groups proprietary steel stub columns – this platform and it’s screens were retrofitted to the roof of this shopping centre within 2 days.Paired with our Louvre airflow and Classic Screen Walls.

S2 Ep12 - This Californian bungalow was transformed into a stunning open plan home full of natural light and modern finishes.

The word Folia in Greek means nest, and this is precisely what Folia apartments by Mirvac have delivered. Foliage adorns the many balconies, rooftop conservatory and kitchen garden, contributing greatly to the tranquil ambience which feels wholeheartedly organic. The residences are an inviting place to call home for their new occupants. Able to be seen from below are the prominent soffits on floors 5 and 6, lined with our aluminium Click-on Cladding in a strikingly realistic Blackbutt wood finish. The wood finish on the cladding appears abundantly realistic, cleverly achieving the look of real timber in both tone and texture. Our wood finish wrapping is produced in Japan using a state of the art system to ensure that there is no repetitive wood grain pattern present, helping it to achieve the aesthetic variation of real timber. It also features an embossed texture further replicating that of real timber along with the shadow lines which imitate traditional timber cladding.

Designed by Smart Design Studio, the building is an honest layering of old and new as expressed by the raw treatment of the exterior façade through to the smooth, modern interior. The rooftop addition connects the double-height banks of glass Breezway Louvres with an articulated aluminium roof folding down as a screen to the back of the building. The end result successfully incorporates flexible and functional office interiors and a two-bedroom rooftop apartment within a rigorously controlled contemporary architecture of old and new.

Designed by Benson McCormack Architects and built by Hone Constructions. The curved glass elements seen at the ground level entry shopfronts and in the feature penthouse facades are key to the undulating design which becomes the signature for the “Wave” Apartments building. In particular the projecting curved façade at each end of the penthouse roof level is a major element of the architectural design and a feature that can be seen from afar. The sweep of the concrete rood appears to float above the skin of curved glass creating a dramatic visual effect.

ZINTL® aluminium cladding system is a timelessly elegant and enduring material that offers a world of design possibilities. 8Projects did an amazing job installing ZINTL® Shadow 200 in Iroko Wood Grain cladding finish on the Alkira Apartment development in Ocean Grove.

Rondo’s Technical Team supplied emblematic CAD floor plans and designs for wall types including acoustic and fire rating to board to the manufacturer’s specifications. Onsite support from Rondo included assistance in setting out, framing, lining and finishing training as well material supply coordination.

Fairview supplied builder Stokes Wheeler with Vitracore G2 for the Jaguar Land Rover 3-storey showroom at Southport, QLD. The high-end development required a premium finish in Jaguar Land Rover’s corporate colours and Vitracore G2 was selected as the preferred façade solution due to fire compliance.

Rondo Technical Representative Tino Cucinotta, worked closely with the 2DG team – and assisted with the supply of QUIET STUD Acoustic Wall System, Stud & Track and Finishing Sections, whilst Rondo’s newly released XPRESS Drywall Grid Ceiling System was due to arrive, ensuring the project could continue efficiently.

The project recently won Best Multi-Unit Development at the Master Builders-Bankwest Excellence in Construction Awards. This is a great achievement, especially considering that when Rondo were approached by contractor, Metrex, to assist with Latitude’s wall and ceiling design, it was only 70% design ready leaving Rondo the task to finish the remaining 30% requirements.

The Canberra Hospital features the following RBA products:RBA8851-137 in their recently completed Bariatric Ward rooms.Canberra Hospital is the major public medical establishment based in Australia’s Capital Territory, with 672 beds to cater for the territory’s population of 550,000. The Hospital provides services including acute inpatient and day services, outpatient services, women’s and children’s services, paediatrics and pathology. Canberra Hospital is also a hub for education and research, remaining as the main teaching hospital for the Australian National University Medical School and the University of Canberra’s Nursing School. Canberra Hospital additionally accommodates for Clinical Pastoral Care institutions based in Sydney. RBA was thrilled to participate on a project that could better the experiences of both a myriad of patients and students.Canberra Hospital reached out to RBA to provide for a number of brand new Bariatric Rooms and one “Super Bariatric Room” during a refurbishment of the hospital’s orthopaedics services. These amenities are essential to providing comfortable care for individuals struggling with the growing obesity crisis, the Super Bariatric Room catering to people weighing up to half a tonne. As a result, RBA had to supply high quality, heavy duty bariatric facilities, whilst keeping a homely character to make patients comfortable in the clinical environment. Read the news article from the Canberra Times RBA’s supplication of our Bariatric Toilet, or the RBA8851-137, pictured below was vital for the project. Made of Stainless Steel, the toilet can withstand loads of up to 910 kg with no measurable deflection and 2200 kg with no permanent damage, maintaining strong and secure for its intended usage. Furthermore, the 304-type, or “Food Grade” Stainless Steel is constructed with corrosion resistance and allows for optimal hygiene. The unit supplied to Canberra Hospital has an optional P or S Trap, coming in an Enviro-Glaze® White Finish, best suited for the setting. However, this unit is also offered Enviro-Glaze® White external finish and a Stainless Steel internal finish, or a Stainless Steel total finish. Moreover, the unit is water-saving, holding a 3 Star (6.0L FF/3.0L HF/3.6L AF) WELS rating. The unit can additionally be accompanied by RBA’s Big John Bariatric Toilet Seat, or the RBA8186-853.

The Perth Optus Stadium is a world-class sporting venue located within WA, Stryum, Australian-made, non-combustible façade system, was chosen to provide a unique and customised finish to the 60,000 seat Perth Stadium development. The stadium features over 16,000m2 of Stryum in 6 different anodized colours. Builder: Brookfield Multiplex, Architect: WESTADIUM

This modern townhouse development in West Essendon has given ZINTL the opportunity to truly show its style and contemporary design. Chosen as a statement to the façade at this modern development, the popular Standing Seam 190 profile was powder coated in Dulux Charcoal Satin Finish. A vertical installation adds to the leading-edge architectural style captured within this project.

The developers were looking for an elegant, cleaner, sophisticated look complimented by the movement of the ocean across the road. In addition to this, eye catching colours brought to life through unique systems. Baxta cement renders are being delivered and applied to this ultimate coastal sanctuary featuring a unique design enhanced by the use of the beautiful Baxta render and elastomeric finishes.

Part of a vast regeneration programme to improve student amenities, the UoB invested £60m in a state-of-the-art academic library. The project aimed to celebrate the wider campus architectural styles and improve access to new resources like e-journals and wireless charging stations. Associated Architects chose SAS International to provide the high acoustic and finishing touches to the academic interior fit-out. In order to create an effective library environment, acoustic performance must also be carefully considered. With the aim to create a space suited for thousands of scholars, bespoke acoustic metal wall panels were supplied to the library. Depending on the location of each tile, the panels were finished in white and black-grey PPC or anodised in regency gold. Specified with a 23% or 50% open area, the panels act as acoustic absorbers with an oblong perforation. Each panel is fitted with a black, fleece-wrapped acoustic pad for high performance. The architects specified three additional acoustic treatments for open soffit areas over computer clusters and lounge spaces. SAS500 baffles and bespoke ring shaped and circular rafts were created by SAS International to fulfil this requirement. The discs and raft-halos are an SAS150 hybrid designed to fulfil acoustic and service requirements while contributing to the contemporary look. Consisting of multiple panels, the concealed grid system creates a smooth finish enclosed using a steel perimeter trim. Long 3m baffles were also installed in a continuous sequence along walkways and group study areas. These options provide durable acoustic solution, minimising maintenance and improving access to the soffit and services.

Rondo worked with Forman Commercial Interiors and Alpha Holdings on the three storey, $40 million project by providing all of the Steel Stud and Track requirements along with the KEY-LOCK Concealed Suspended Ceiling System. Due to the various wall systems designed, Rondo supplied diagrammatic specifications for the junction details to assist in completing the project, which finished in August this year.

Rondo provided Red Oak Contracts Pty Ltd with the external wall, soffit and bulkhead designs which were submitted to BADGE and Hames Sharley Architects for approval. Rondo’s technical team highlight the quality of workmanship on this project, especially when comparing the designs to the finished installation. The stock was supplied on time and accurate with Rondo working with all parties throughout this project which is a credit to all involved.

This unique offset ellipse design tower had to allow the ceiling to flow around the building. A bespoke SAS330 metal ceiling system was specified incorporating trapezoidal panels. Trust Tower forms one of three new tower blocks; part of the Central Market development. The first tower to be completed is tower three a 59-storey commercial office development. The tower is a unique offset ellipse design, to allow the ceiling to flow around the building a bespoke. SAS330 metal ceiling system was specified incorporating trapezoidal panels. Enabling a monolithic finish to the ceiling plane, black service troughs house recessed lighting and other MEP services; this enables maximum acoustic performance to be achieved from the ceiling tiles. Over 900 different sized ceiling tiles were manufactured and installed throughout the project. Metal ceilings provide durability, accessibility to the ceiling void and low maintenance. The life-span of SAS International’s metal ceilings is in excess of 25 years with only very basic maintenance. The entrance mezzanine area features a four-storey high ceiling finished in midnight blue, providing a dramatic entrance to this iconic building.

The tower corridors to the hotel rooms followed a slight curve and the Rondo Technical Services Team were engaged to provide many engineered designs for both internal and external wall framings, as well as internal ceilings and external soffit framings. This included Stud & Track, MAXIframe External Wall Framing System, EXANGLE Finishing Sections and PANTHER Access Panels, all needed to meet the detail required throughout the tower and podium levels.
