Expoconti pride themselves on using quality products from reputable suppliers and have been a Rondo customer for over 20 years. For this particular project, Rondo had been engaged to supply Steel Stud & Track and KEY-LOCK Concealed Ceiling System for the project which is exposed to high winds due to its location and height.

The Australian National Archives is located within Canberra ACT, Fairview products were used as both exterior cladding and interior lining on the National Archives of Australia’s new preservation and storage facility. The building includes enough shelving to stretch approximately 115kms and is expected to house around 10 million Commonwealth records.Builder: Doma Constructions, Architect: May & Russell Architects

The Project team consisted of builder, Doric, who awarded the ceiling and wall package to Ceiling & Wall Contracting (CWC) and KB Carpentry. Rondo Partner Network Distributer, Superb Group, provided supply of various Rondo products. Rondo was engaged by Peter Hunt Architects early in the documentation stages of the project, allowing an ease of understanding between all parties.

Rondo worked closely with contractor Future Carpentry and Ceilings providing 92mm Stud & Track Systems, Key-Lock Ceiling Systems and heavy gauge Rondo products externally, throughout the project. A special feature in the design involved an intricate ‘wave’ ceiling feature requiring both convex and concave curved Rondo TCR sections to achieve the desired effect.

Rondo worked alongside Cubic Interiors, and Builder, Brookfield Multiplex, who were chosen due to their ability to deliver highly innovative and cost effective design solutions. This was achieved through the use of Rondo’s KEY-LOCK Concealed Suspended Ceiling System and Steel Stud and Track. Rondo provided continual assistance by coordinating the product logistics and helping Cubic Interiors with the design criteria.

Rondo’s Seismic products within each system included DUO Perimeter Trim Sliding Clip (Rondo 850), KEY-LOCK TCR Seismic Joiner (Rondo 865) and Seismic plenum braces. With the KEY-LOCK Seismic Concealed Ceiling System, two-side fixed, free wall perimeter connections and Rondo 141 Wall Track (1.15BMT to suit 129 Furring Channel) was used.

Working beside Doig Architecture, Rondo provided expert design and technical advice particularly with the high internal walls. Regular on-site inspections ensured products were installed to specification and delivered on time. In order to provide maximum capacity and accessibility, Cora’s E3DT-GT double tier system, E3VR vertical wall mount system and CBR bike parking rails were combined to offer the ultimate AS2890.3 compliant EOT facility.

Fairview provided the Collmill Group with Snow White Vitracore G2 to clad the bespoke Lantern Apartments in Melbourne's inner-city suburb of Collingwood. Our deemed-to-satisfy non-combustible product was ideal for the residential development due to its weather resistant coating and the lightweight nature which allowed for greater ease of off-site pre-cladding. Rondo is working alongside Brighton Australia and Thiess for the design of the external facade including framing, cladding and windows. The Rondo wall and ceiling products used on this considerable project include but are not limited to 30,000m2 of facade, 49,500lm of Stud and Track, 36,000lm of various external track including deflection head track and slotted deflection head track from Rondo’s newly launched MAXIframe system and 43,200lm of Rondo Top Hats.

Located in the heart of iconic beachside suburb Bondi, the recently completed Amari Residences has maximised views, natural ventilation and safety by utilising a combination of Alspec’s KidScreen® window products, Air-Flo® frames and Breezway® Louvres. The development’s incorporation of these window solutions ensures best advantage can be taken of the location’s northerly aspects and ocean views for each of the 32 apartments across the building’s 9 levels.

Chemical termite controls were not an option because of toxicity issues, making a clean and environmentally safe physical termite barrier the correct solution.APPROACHA typical WA site, the college’s location is predominantly flat, with sandy soils and substrates. In general, this type of environment poses a high risk for termite attack common to this region of Western Australia. SOLUTIONThe main challenge with the installation came from the rammed earth exterior walls. Their natural composition can chip easily, so nailing or sealing the termite barrier onto the wall was not practical.Our solution was to install Termimesh cold joint /paver trays to the perimeter of the concrete slab edge. These protected the concealed entry point between the slab and wall. They also engaged into the external pavement instead of against the rammed earth wall itself.BENEFITSThe Termimesh System which comprises of our 725 grade stainless steel mesh, Termiparge bonding cement and high grade stainless steel clamps not only met their strict requirement of no chemicals it will also continue to provide them with reassurance and peace of mind the comes with our market leading Pledge Guarantee. This new building was constructed by Lend Lease with Foxville Projects Group (NSW) being appointed as the lead fit out contractor. Rondo supplied an extensive range of ceiling and partition systems, as well as technical support throughout the project, which included design for all the internal walls, shelf loads, balustrade design utilising stud and track as well as ongoing support throughout the project construction period in regards to Rondo products within the design criteria.

The University of Melbourne’s (UoM) Biosciences building is the perfect example of how to match a consistent timber throughout an entire space. And not just any timber. Australian Oak Engineered Flooring, cleverly partnered with GoodWood Victorian ash and IronAsh. To coincide with one of HASSELL’s philosophies to ‘continuously improve environmental performance and energy efficiencies as well as create healthier working environments’, the UoM building demonstrates an accurate representation of sustainable design and the connection of nature to increase productivity.

The Harry House was a classic Coburg suburban home that screamed ordinary. The brief was to transform this typical home into a space that represented the client’s Japanese heritage. Straight and stable Victorian ash hardwood was used in a multitude of applications throughout the home. Harry House is the ultimate example of how GoodWood Victorian ash is the perfect hardwood that can be matched throughout an entire space. It not only ticks the boxes for sustainability, product availability and attractiveness, but it is also extremely practicable and affordable.

Currently, Quest is on an aggressive expansion drive throughout Australia, with seven projects to be completed over the next 12 months. Specifically, the freshly completed Quest on Franklin in Central Adelaide of which, Rondo has provided over 200,000l/m worth of product. Working alongside Kyren Group, Ceiling Express and Cheesman Architects, Rondo delivered frequent technical design support, as well as stock level forecasting which was imperative to control the crane lifts.

Rondo has supplied 80,000l/m of DUO Exposed Grid Ceiling System and 148,000 L/M of Steel Stud Drywall Framing System to three of the main buildings. As the design required a variety of special length products, Rondo has been producing large quantities of these items in advance and storing them at the Rondo warehouse in WA to enable quick supply and install for contractors on site, which ensures the project can progress at a rapid rate.

Inspired by water droplets in the wild, the POD Pavilion showcases the new sustainable urban development located in Petaling Jaya Commercial City, west of Kuala Lumpur. Designed by Hijjas Kasturi Associates in collaboration with Studio Nicoletti Associati (Italy), the POD Pavilion is now PJCC’s corporate office and sales gallery. Rondo provided both product and design assistance to the project, which required a significant amount of input because of its unique elliptical design.

The new Royal Adelaide Hospital (newRAH) is a significant project for Rondo, with our Engineering team providing extensive design support and developing innovative system solutions for over two and a half years prior to the commencement of construction. Now with construction underway, Rondo has continued to play a major role, supporting site contractor, Brighton Australia, with the design and manufacture of products that meet the projects’ ‘Category 4’ design requirements, which includes specifications for Seismic designs.

Installing Dyson Supersonic hair dryers and Dyson Airblade V hand dryers, Memocorp found products that not only suited the sleek aesthetic of the luxurious design but also delivered high performance and usability.

Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) Data Center was recently built using our premium aluminium cladding solution, MondoClad®. FDC Building engaged Archer Facades to install this unique cladding design on the BAC Data Center. Archer Facades’ aim was not only to meet the architectural design requirements, but also to exceed them. External Cladding on a building is a focal point and a showcase for many projects that Archer Facades installs. Therefore, MondoClad® was a fit for purpose product for both the installer and the builder.

Designed by Tony Owen Partners, Breezway Altair Louvre Windows were recommended to the Developer by the Architects at Tony Owen Partners due to their visually appealing aesthetics, the products full certification and compliance with Australian Standards, and Breezway’s strong reputation in the window industry. Altair Louvres with the Stronghold System have been strategically placed on the corner of the building as a key visual feature. Being a high quality window system, Altair Louvres will provide protection from the elements and are restricted to comply with Fall Prevention requirements.

Designed with sustainability and a targeted 5-star green star rating in mind, the building has drawn on Alspec products which feature high performance credentials for the floor-to-ceiling glazing and sliding doors. On the façades, Hunter Evo 150mm Double Glazed Flush Framing was used to construct the interfaces between guests and the habitat. The Hunter framing can accommodate up to 40mm double glazed and is well suited to gently curved and faceted façades, such as featured in the dining and kitchen extension.

The Sir Edward Weary Dunlop Retirement Village has been completed with the help of architect, builder and contractor Ryman Healthcare. The 134-unit age care facility will house serviced care units and independent living units for the elderly with resort-style facilities. Rondo assisted in the development of this project, supplying a number of products including Stud and Track (64mm and 92mm x 0.55BMT), KEY-LOCK Suspended Ceiling Systems and MAXIjamb Systems for the large window and door openings leading onto balconies.

Rondo’s products were specifically requested in the design process for Australia’s most environmentally sustainable data centre in Malaga, Western Australia. Perth’s first and only carrier-neutral colocation Data Centre is designed and built with the latest data centre technologies to promote continuity for energy-efficient technology and security. P1’s construction timeline estimated 15 months to completion, allocating time for design reviews and adjustments.The initial door framing sections specified in the design plans were reviewed for the project’s construction.

Forget predictable ‘Hamptons’ beach design, and instead think laid-back beach location with a slight mid-century feel. To compliment the Goodwood Victorian ash, IronAsh cladding and Australian Oak Engineered Flooring were specified to create a continuous flow of design from inside to out. Matching the timber throughout a space creates a harmonious atmosphere that connects each room cohesively. Specifying timber all from the one manufacturer like ASH means you are getting consistent grain and quality products throughout the entire build.
