Rondo’s Seismic products within each system included DUO Perimeter Trim Sliding Clip (Rondo 850), KEY-LOCK TCR Seismic Joiner (Rondo 865) and Seismic plenum braces. With the KEY-LOCK Seismic Concealed Ceiling System, two-side fixed, free wall perimeter connections and Rondo 141 Wall Track (1.15BMT to suit 129 Furring Channel) was used.

Rondo has supplied 80,000l/m of DUO Exposed Grid Ceiling System and 148,000 L/M of Steel Stud Drywall Framing System to three of the main buildings. As the design required a variety of special length products, Rondo has been producing large quantities of these items in advance and storing them at the Rondo warehouse in WA to enable quick supply and install for contractors on site, which ensures the project can progress at a rapid rate.

No 1. Collins Wharf is the latest part of the $1.2 billion development of the Victoria Harbour precinct. The 29-level apartment complex, built by Lend Lease and designed by Architectural firm, Bates Smart was completed in September this year and boasts 321 water-lined apartments and townhouses. Expoconti were awarded the wall and ceiling contract for the $106M development and soon after contacted Rondo to supply systems for the external walls, external cladding and internal suspended ceiling system.

MP Group were charged with managing the installation and finishing of all internal and external walls and this is also where Rondo offered our support. With the external structural steel framing having been installed 150mm out of position, Rondo’s Technical Services Team came to the rescue and designed an external stud wall system using our MAXIframe External Wall Framing System to ‘fill the gap,’ including design of special header bracing details to support the wall.

Built to break from traditions: to be distinctive, progressive, and to be transformational. Today its pioneering history continues to be a source of inspiration as they celebrate their place among the best and brightest minds.When Macquarie University’s existing cark park became too small for the amount of cars now using it, it was decided to construct an overflow car park. However, not just any car park, but in keeping with their innovative thinking, an environmentally friendly permeable car park. Of course the Atlantis® Turf CellTM system was chosen, so that turf covered parking spaces could be provided.The project required 9,843sq. m of Atlantis® Turf CellTM system, which is constructed from 480mm x 260mm x 52mm panels and has a rigid interlocking clipping system and is made from high quality recycled polypropylene. The project was undertaken by J & G Excavations and Asphalting (NSW) Pty Ltd.The Turf CellTM cells were laid on a bed of permeable soil, and filled with sandy soil and turf was then placed on top of the linked Atlantis® Turf CellTM cells and rolled with a heavy roller to press the roots into the soil in the cells, where they were protected from compaction and could grow freely both horizontally and vertically.The Turf CellTM system is another Atlantis invention, and is specifically suited for car parks, access roads, aircraft taxiways and helicopter landing pads as it has the following features:a high load bearing of approximately 4000t/sq. M;protects the root system of grass from compaction, while allow for vigorous horizontal and vertical root growth;permits surface water absorption and infiltration;has a long use life; andaesthetically, the system allows the grass to fill in completely, creating a lush lawn with an invisible reinforcement structure.

Designed by Tony Owen Partners, Breezway Altair Louvre Windows were recommended to the Developer by the Architects at Tony Owen Partners due to their visually appealing aesthetics, the products full certification and compliance with Australian Standards, and Breezway’s strong reputation in the window industry. Altair Louvres with the Stronghold System have been strategically placed on the corner of the building as a key visual feature. Being a high quality window system, Altair Louvres will provide protection from the elements and are restricted to comply with Fall Prevention requirements.

Rondo Steel Stud Drywall Framing System will be used in the construction of the Dubai International Airport - Concourse 4 project.

At the new 6,000-seater Jordal Amfi ice hockey stadium in Oslo, Norway, player and spectator safety is a top priority. The stadium owner wanted a coating system which included passive fire protection, so, when Danish-based Give Steel was contracted to produce the steel structures, they had to not only meet the customer specification for fire protection but also consider the logistics of the project.The steel pieces were produced in Denmark, and Give Steel needed a coating system that was robust enough to protect the steel during transportation and erection onsite.

Working directly with sub-contractors Donnybrook Interiors and Architectural Ceiling Systems, Rondo delivered the walls and ceilings for this unique $15million build.

The brand new state-of-the-art $177 million Brisbane International Cruise Terminal was completed in mid-2020 and will serve as a gateway for the Queensland tourismsector. The 9,300m² terminal was designed by Arkhefield in collaboration with Arup will provide visitors with a world class experience.The public spaces including the internal walkways, communal areas and departure lounge featured 1,500m² of Flowcoat Terrosso in four bespoke colour combinations.The decorative resin-based flooring system was chosen to provide a decorative, seamless flooring system that would not only create a luxurious and welcome environment, but withstand the expected foot traffic.A further 1,200m² of Deckshield ID was applied to the foot bridge, providing passengers with a slip resistant and safe surface as they board or disembark some of the biggest cruise ships in the world.Tremco CPG Australia’s portfolio of industry leading products provided not just a flooring solution for the world-glass tourism facility. In addition to the Flowcreteflooring systems, Tremco CPG Australia also provided the structural glazing silicone Proglaze II to a total of 218 glass panels.

With a glass façade symbolising the transparency of justice and a glossy metal exoskeleton, the new Maison de l’Ordre des Avocats (House of the Paris Bar Association) is a stunning addition to the French capital’s new Batignolles judicial city. For the building owner, safety is a top priority. Therefore, the exoskeleton needed a proven passive fire protection coating that would enable the steel to maintain its load-bearing capacity for up to 60 minutes during a fire, giving those inside valuable extra time to evacuate.The challenge Specialist paint application and surface treatment company ROTH & Cie was contracted to apply the passive fire protection coating system. ROTH & Cie has worked with Hempel for many years and was keen to work with us on this project. However, due to the project schedule, the tubular exoskeleton framework was delivered to the construction site with a competitor’s epoxy primer already applied. ROTH & Cie therefore wanted a Hempel passive fire protection system that would work with the existing primer. Also, as building aesthetics are important in the overall design, the exoskeleton needed a high-quality matt satin finish. The solution Our solution was to specify a system of Hempafire Pro 315 and Hempathane 55750. A single component intumescent coating, Hempafire Pro 315 complies with the EN 13501-2 standard for the fire classification of construction products. It is optimised to provide 60 minutes of passive fire protection, as well as partial protection up to 90 minutes. In addition, thanks to its exceptionally low loadings, Hempafire Pro 315 requires significantly lower dry film thicknesses than competitor products. As a result, ROTH & Cie could apply the coating in a thinner coat, significantly reducing paint consumption, application time and project costs. The full system was completed with Hempathane 55750, a polyurethane topcoat with quick crosslinking properties that provides the matt satin appearance required by the specifications. Our dedicated passive fire protection R&D Centre in Barcelona, Spain verified that Hempafire Pro 315 could be applied on top of the existing primer. The entire system was spray applied using an electric airless pump, which is ideal for construction sites as it does not require an air compressor. Rondo supplied the Drywall Framing System in the construction of Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi, which is the world’s largest indoor theme park ­– including wall heights that ranged from 9 meters and above.

In excess of 125,000 Lineal Meters of Rondo product will be used in this multimillion dollar project: special custom lengths of Steel Stud and Track, KEY-LOCK Concealed Suspended Ceiling Systems and Rondo MAXIjamb (jamb stud).

This project is a great example where the client wanted to realise the instant savings of Con-form Group’s engineer certified, rafter mounted system, over costly traditional mounting systems.With a mixture of our EasyMech MR (purlin-mounted), and Span+ (rafter-mounted), HVAC platforms - the client was able to successfully mount all mechanical units across the roof of this mixed-use development in Tasmania.Spanning over 9 metres, this retrofitted Span+ (rafter-mounted), installation answered the clients brief in more ways than one.Rated to 2.5kPa and attached to Con-form Groups proprietary steel stub columns – this platform and it’s screens were retrofitted to the roof of this shopping centre within 2 days.Paired with our Louvre airflow and Classic Screen Walls.

Rondo has supplied our Drywall Framing System in the new expansion package of the Muscat International Airport. The Muscat International Airport, which is the largest airport in the Sultanate, is being expanded simultaneously to meet the growing passenger traffic.

Rondo worked closely with Wadsworth Contracting providing KEY-LOCK Concealed Ceiling Systems, Panther Access Panels, plastering beads as well as external 92mm framing, soffit framing, internal 76 & 64mm wall framing.

Snapper Creek Car Park was developed as an environmentally friendly permeable car park. As such the Atlantis® Turf CellTM and Atlantis® Gravel CellTM systems were chosen, to provide gravel driveways and grass parking areas, thus preventing compaction of the soil and to protect the grass and to stabilize the gravel and provide a permeable car park.The parking areas were divided into car only parking and car & trailer parking.The area, consisting of natural sandy material, was excavated to a depth of 300mm, and a tensar grid was placed into the excavation and the excavated material placed back on top of the tensar grid and compacted.A layer of 100mm of gravel was then place on the areas where the Atlantis® Gravel CellTM modules were to be used and the Atlantis® Gravel cellTM modules positioned thereon and filled with gravel.The Atlantis® Turf CellTM modules were installed and filled with soil and then the area was grass seeded; no turf was used. The project was completed in mid 2014 and was at that stage semi grassed and in use.The project required 4,300sq. m of Atlantis® 52mm drainage cell, which are 480mm x 260mm x 52mm panels and have a rigid interlocking clipping system and are made from recycled polypropylene.In August 2017, the operators of the car park, which is still operating, were contacted and they stated that they were extremely happy with the condition of the car park, even though it has heavy traffic as there is a boat ramp there, and some areas have been flooded by Snapper Creek.The Atlantis® Turf CellTM & Atlantis® Gravel CellTM systems are specifically suited for car parks, access roads, aircraft taxiways and helicopter landing pads as it has the following features:a high load bearing of approximately 4000t/sq. Rondo has supplied our Key-Lock Suspended Concealed Ceiling System to the new KLIA2 terminal. The KLIA2 is built to be Malaysia's Next Generation Hub - an airport hub that will allow seamless connectivity between low-cost and full-service carriers.

Rondo is proud to be a supplier to ADNOC's new headquarters complex, which will be both a landmark building for the company as well as for the United Arab Emirates. Rondo have supplied the drywall framing as well as a wall cladding system using Rondo Furring Channel and fixing clips.

Rondo put their Key-Lock Ceiling System to the test with the fascias and soffits, being curved in both directions. To create the exact shape and flow desired by the architect, precise installation was crucial and was achieved through a successful partnership between Rondo and Brunswick Valley Plastering.

The project was subject to wind loading up to 2.8kPa ultimate and 1.9kPa serviceability. Our technical designs specified wall and ceiling systems, as well as complementary accessories to be supplied to the project. Being able to provide tailored designs within a tight deadline was crucial to the project.

Rondo assisted Brett Watson Contracting in providing the featured elliptic curved detail that made the eye catching internal ceiling layout possible. Rondo supplied our KEY-LOCK Concealed Ceiling System to create the coffered ceiling treatments in the main atrium.

Rondo has played a major role in the nearly 5,000m2 ‘105 on Mitchell Street’ hotel redevelopment. Rondo has so far provided about 8,000m2 of KEY-LOCK Concealed Suspended Ceiling System and 76mm Steel Stud Drywall Framing to this project.

Rondo’s 92mm Steel Stud and Track system was selected for all internal works as it best meets all the requirements implemented by Warren and Mahoney, lead architects for this project. Factors such as spans, acoustics, loads, future proofing and supply were all considered during the initial design period.

As part of the ‘green’ refurbishment of the Accor Vacation Club Apartments, GWA Bathrooms & Kitchens supplied highly-efficient fittings and fixtures to complement the greater environmental awareness of the new design. Improved water conservation was achieved by installing the latest in efficient flush systems and reduced flow tapware in all the bathrooms and kitchens.

John Holland recently built the largest private Hospital in South Australia, adding to its already suburb health care facilities. Rondo worked alongside Contractor Brighton Australia and Architect STH Architects, to deliver this state-of-the-art facility. Rondo supported the $400m build with a range of products and systems.

Rondo provided technical design specifications when it came to the development and execution of an SAW Tooth ceiling which is featured in the main areas of the school building. BSHS will feature Rondo’s popular KEY-LOCK Suspended Ceiling System, Steel Stud and Track and EXANGLE products throughout the internal building frame.

The initial project had been executed in August 2017. Customising the building with KEY-LOCK Suspended Ceiling System, particularly Rondo 155 Furring Chanel which is 48mm wide, and required perforated plasterboard to be attached. Bulkheads, soffit areas and external walls were designed by the Rondo Engineering team.

The Rondo team were engaged in the project to design the ceiling framework for the lobby of the twenty-five-storey building. The Rondo KEY-LOCK suspended ceiling system with radius top cross rail was specified to create the proposed arch ceiling, along with Steel Stud and Track for the walls in other areas of the project.

Rondo’s main focus has been to complete 17 levels of one of the five office towers, of which two levels are for shops and a café. With the majority of the 70,000 lineal metres of product being Rondo DUO Exposed Grid System, Rondo continues to provide technical support for the project through weekly site visits.

Westfield Shopping Centre in Sydney represents the next generation of retail experiences and is quickly becoming one of Westfield’s global flagships. In order to achieve the architectural specifications, Rondo designed a unique suspended ceiling system using boxed Rondo Steel Studs as ceiling joists to accommodate the loading of custom made timber panels.

Nestled in the formerly industrial suburb of Sydney’s Alexandria sits the newly completed Arkadia Apartments, designed in a collaboration between DKO Architecture and Breathe Architecture. Lining the spectacular curved forms of two entrance tunnels are our Click-on Battens in Spotted Gum, using a modified version of our system to meet the requirements of the unique geometry.
