Rondo has worked alongside Lend Lease to build a stadium that will benefit Western Sydney’s sporting culture immensely. The stadium required continuous onsite reviews including the change of design by our technical team. Built to break from traditions: to be distinctive, progressive, and to be transformational. Today its pioneering history continues to be a source of inspiration as they celebrate their place among the best and brightest minds.When Macquarie University’s existing cark park became too small for the amount of cars now using it, it was decided to construct an overflow car park. However, not just any car park, but in keeping with their innovative thinking, an environmentally friendly permeable car park. Of course the Atlantis® Turf CellTM system was chosen, so that turf covered parking spaces could be provided.The project required 9,843sq. m of Atlantis® Turf CellTM system, which is constructed from 480mm x 260mm x 52mm panels and has a rigid interlocking clipping system and is made from high quality recycled polypropylene. The project was undertaken by J & G Excavations and Asphalting (NSW) Pty Ltd.The Turf CellTM cells were laid on a bed of permeable soil, and filled with sandy soil and turf was then placed on top of the linked Atlantis® Turf CellTM cells and rolled with a heavy roller to press the roots into the soil in the cells, where they were protected from compaction and could grow freely both horizontally and vertically.The Turf CellTM system is another Atlantis invention, and is specifically suited for car parks, access roads, aircraft taxiways and helicopter landing pads as it has the following features:a high load bearing of approximately 4000t/sq. M;protects the root system of grass from compaction, while allow for vigorous horizontal and vertical root growth;permits surface water absorption and infiltration;has a long use life; andaesthetically, the system allows the grass to fill in completely, creating a lush lawn with an invisible reinforcement structure.

Rondo provided technical design specifications when it came to the development and execution of an SAW Tooth ceiling which is featured in the main areas of the school building. BSHS will feature Rondo’s popular KEY-LOCK Suspended Ceiling System, Steel Stud and Track and EXANGLE products throughout the internal building frame.

The Rondo team were engaged in the project to design the ceiling framework for the lobby of the twenty-five-storey building. The Rondo KEY-LOCK suspended ceiling system with radius top cross rail was specified to create the proposed arch ceiling, along with Steel Stud and Track for the walls in other areas of the project.

Rondo has supplied our Key-Lock Suspended Concealed Ceiling System to the new KLIA2 terminal. The KLIA2 is built to be Malaysia's Next Generation Hub - an airport hub that will allow seamless connectivity between low-cost and full-service carriers.

Rondo put their Key-Lock Ceiling System to the test with the fascias and soffits, being curved in both directions. To create the exact shape and flow desired by the architect, precise installation was crucial and was achieved through a successful partnership between Rondo and Brunswick Valley Plastering.

Rondo is proud to be a supplier to ADNOC's new headquarters complex, which will be both a landmark building for the company as well as for the United Arab Emirates. Rondo have supplied the drywall framing as well as a wall cladding system using Rondo Furring Channel and fixing clips.

Working closely with SA Master Plaster as the internal drywall contractor Rondo has supplied 64 & 92mm x 0.70BMT and 92mm x 1.15BMT wall studs for the internal wall framing with over 1,000 studs being required per floor. Also the project is utilising Rondo KEY-LOCK concealed plasterboard framing for ceilings and over 2,000m2 of the external Rondo MAXIframe wall system.

Wall types can vary significantly on such a large project, and the Rondo team were required to design a framing system solution that would be suitable for the vast majority of the project. Due to large wall heights to the ballroom areas, Rondo MAXIJamb members were required and specific Rondo engineered design detail was provided for bathroom wall locations, where the Rondo framing was to support stone linings.

Rondo has been a major asset to the project providing reputable advice, technical design solutions and fortnightly inspections, ensuring the development is on track and our systems are installed correctly. Our Technical Services Team has supported Rondo Victoria in assisting project architects Bates Smart Architects and Silver Thomas Hanley and builder Lend Lease improve comprehensive designs for all internal walls and ceilings for the project.

Since the project commenced work in August 2011, Rondo provided technical support by way of weekly site inspections and specified various wall types for the external Steel Stud walls which was utilised throughout the entire building. This coincided with use of the Rondo KEY-LOCK Furring Channel System which also focused on all external and internal ceilings of the building.

The project has utilised a various range of Rondo products, including Stud and Track, DUO Concealed Grid System and PANTHER Access Panels to name a few. Rondo generously donated many of these products to this amazing charity, part FOC and part subsidised. With the official opening in May 2011, this house that will lend a hand to thousands of struggling families is sure to make a difference.

The tower corridors to the hotel rooms followed a slight curve and the Rondo Technical Services Team were engaged to provide many engineered designs for both internal and external wall framings, as well as internal ceilings and external soffit framings. This included Stud & Track, MAXIframe External Wall Framing System, EXANGLE Finishing Sections and PANTHER Access Panels, all needed to meet the detail required throughout the tower and podium levels.

Ocean Keys is a major shopping destination in Clarkson, one of Perth’s new fast growing suburbs. This $100 million expansion completed in October 2014 included the addition of retail and fresh food stores and new residential apartments. The shopping complex is now 65% larger with a total floor space of 35,000m². Rondo supplied Key- Lock Concealed Ceiling System and steel framing for the extensive plasterboard soffits and bulkheads on the project.

The initial project had been executed in August 2017. Customising the building with KEY-LOCK Suspended Ceiling System, particularly Rondo 155 Furring Chanel which is 48mm wide, and required perforated plasterboard to be attached. Bulkheads, soffit areas and external walls were designed by the Rondo Engineering team.

Rondo will feature throughout the building utilising the popular KEY-LOCK Suspended Ceiling System, as well as Steel Stud and Track. When gazing out of the large open windows from the magnificent structures, the views of the city skyline and rolling hills are exceptional. Clyde Quay Wharf residents are undoubtedly treated to the best of both worlds with the epitome of urban living and coveted waterfront lifestyle.

For instance, the guest room ensuite walls were mainly comprised of glazed aluminium panels made overseas. Unfortunately, this meant there were minimal tolerances in the set-out. Yet, because the hotel floors were generally the same layout, Rondo created a template system for setting out most of the guest rooms while also ensuring that ceiling heights were set exactly.

Rondo worked alongside Cubic Interiors, and Builder, Brookfield Multiplex, who were chosen due to their ability to deliver highly innovative and cost effective design solutions. This was achieved through the use of Rondo’s KEY-LOCK Concealed Suspended Ceiling System and Steel Stud and Track. Rondo provided continual assistance by coordinating the product logistics and helping Cubic Interiors with the design criteria.
