Rondo were engaged to provide external and internal wall and ceiling designs. Rondo’s technical team successfully worked with the teams onsite to overcome a range of complex wall types and design issues. The project required both Seismic design for the ceilings and special wind designs for the external framing.

This hurdle was overcome with the assistance of Rondo’s Technical Team who created unique designs of the external façade framing which pleased Contractor Conrad Linings and Builder, Broad Construction Services. Furthermore, Rondo worked in consultation with Hyder Engineers for a solution of the 150mm MAXIframe External Walls and Framing that required galvanised sheet metal to be installed on top of the framework to prevent any potential water ingress, with Rondo supervising the correct installation.

No 1. Collins Wharf is the latest part of the $1.2 billion development of the Victoria Harbour precinct. The 29-level apartment complex, built by Lend Lease and designed by Architectural firm, Bates Smart was completed in September this year and boasts 321 water-lined apartments and townhouses. Expoconti were awarded the wall and ceiling contract for the $106M development and soon after contacted Rondo to supply systems for the external walls, external cladding and internal suspended ceiling system.

The initial project had been executed in August 2017. Customising the building with KEY-LOCK Suspended Ceiling System, particularly Rondo 155 Furring Chanel which is 48mm wide, and required perforated plasterboard to be attached. Bulkheads, soffit areas and external walls were designed by the Rondo Engineering team.

The incredible batten ceiling spanning the internal to external spaces, creates a seamless series of intersecting planes. Tongue & Groove Cladding is used to create linear textures with a natural look throughout.

The stock was supplied on time and accurate with Rondo working with all parties throughout this project which is a credit to all involved.

Working closely with SA Master Plaster as the internal drywall contractor Rondo has supplied 64 & 92mm x 0.70BMT and 92mm x 1.15BMT wall studs for the internal wall framing with over 1,000 studs being required per floor. Also the project is utilising Rondo KEY-LOCK concealed plasterboard framing for ceilings and over 2,000m2 of the external Rondo MAXIframe wall system.

Rondo has supplied an external soffit ceiling frame for the Dubai Metro Station project. The Green Line of the Dubai Metro is the second Dubai Metro light rail line in Dubai. The route starts in Al Ghusais, and runs along Al Nahda Rd and Salahuddin Rd above ground. The Green line runs through Deira and Bur Dubai and generally runs parallel to Dubai Creek.

When the owners of this bungalow, built around a hundred years ago, approached Ian Moore Architects they were looking for a larger living space as well as better bedrooms for their children. Ian's approach was spread across three main areas: refresh the old, remove the existing extension and park a new rectangular, two storey box. The outcome showcases two distinct external elements which have a seamless internal connection with no separation.

A stunning curved ceiling feature brings a refined touch to the All Souls Chapel in Rookwood, NSW. Architects WestonWilliamson+Partners designed a renovation which meets the needs of the many cultures who use the chapel at Rookwood Cemetary.
White Oak battens wrap around the beautifully curved ceiling to create a warm and welcoming environment, and aluminium battens on the entrance soffit continue the linear textures externally.
The carefully considered design, along with the attention to detail from installer Interfit Projects resulted in an incredible finished product.

Located in Fortitude Valley in the heart of Brisbane. Builder, Multiplex began Stage 1 of this $200m project in May 2015 and completed it in July this year. Subcontractor, Precision Interior Walls & Ceilings enlisted Rondo’s expertise in designing the internal ceilings and partitions, external walls and soffit framing. Designed by Architect’s Elenberg Fraser, Stage 1 of the development consisted of 32 levels with 910 luxury apartments sprawled across two towers. This will eventually form part of three residential towers incorporating ground floor retail areas, cafés, restaurants and over 1000 apartments in total.
