The hotel and casino will include a luxury hotel, gaming areas, dining, and retail and convention facilities along with numerous special attractions. Rondo provided this project with all the Drywall Steel Stud Partition Systems for the podium, gaming areas and the hotel tower. Included in the plan were also specially designed and supplied maintenance WALK–ABOUT Trafficable Ceiling Systems as per the project requirements.

When the John Holland group needed assistance with designing an End of Trip Facility (EOT) for the new Perth Children’s Hospital project, they turned to Cora Bike Rack for advice. With several challenging spatial elements and the requirement to provide AS2890.3 compliant bike racks and layout, Cora assisted in the bike rack selection which included both horizontal and vertical racks. The most efficient use of space in this project was achieved by including E3VR vertical racks mounted to E3VR-P double sided mounting posts.

Ivanhoe’s newest building is a landmark you can’t miss. The facade components of light bricks, dark cladding and luminous aluminium Click-on Battens perfectly complement each other, creating a contemporary finish. The interior also features our battens, which seamlessly connects to the exterior. The building comprises a three-level basement, ground floor retail outlets, two levels of offices and multiple fully appointed apartments among the two upper levels. The building is bordered on three sides by busy public roads which posed logistical challenges with its construction. However, the speed and ease of installing Click-on Battens alleviated this issue on the upper levels. The curved facade is wrapped in Sculptform aluminium Click-on Battens. They were installed upon standard and curved tracks which were delivered to site in a flexible state so that they’re able to be wrapped around the substrate and hug the exterior. Batten clips are factory fixed to the tracks at the spacing sequence that is specified. Helping to save time installing on-site. Battens are simply push-clicked onto mounting tracks that are positioned behind the battens in a concealed manner.

Project Overview The Wharf Phase 2 will deliver the final more than 1million square feet (92,903 square metres) of mixed-use development to the vibrant waterfront neighborhood, The Wharf. Sustainable Waterfront CarbonCure-based concrete mixes were selected for the construction of The Wharf to support the sustainability goals. Vulcan Materials Company placed 18,891 cubic yards (14,443 cubic metres) of concrete made with CarbonCure through their partners at Concrete Mixes Inc. Rondo was called upon to supply our market leading Seismic Wall and Ceiling System including Steel Stud & Track Drywall Framing, KEY-LOCK Concealed Suspended Ceilings, and DUO Exposed Grid Ceiling Systems.

Rondo was able to provide a solution to suit the projects’ specific design criteria by using readily available materials and technical support. The wall framing for the MPS room consisted of over 31m of 150mm Steel Stud and Track, including noggings.

The significance of the building was indeed highlighted by the addition of a new cutting edge curved concrete structure which included Alspec’s® McArthur 150mm Centre Pocket Framing. The result has surpassed all expectations with the union of new and old.

The project has called on our Technical Services Team for wall and ceiling designs, with significant quantities of Rondo systems used in the project including Rondo Stud and Track, KEY-LOCK Concealed Suspended Ceiling Systems and PANTHER Access Panels.

The $11.3 million dollar renovation of Lambton Square required Rondo product throughout including our Key-Lock Concealed Ceiling System, Steel Stud Wall framing system and various other Rondo components for the fixing of plasterboard and feature panels.

St George Hospital in Kogarah, Sydney, is currently undergoing a $307 million redevelopment. The centrepiece of this redevelopment is a new eight-level Acute Services Building, which will include an intensive care department, eight operating theatres, 128 additional inpatient beds and a rooftop helipad.

Key considerations in the design of the club-house included flexibility of use, thermal and acoustic performance, ventilation and ongoing maintenance. The use of large sliding and stacking Alspec® ProGlide® Commercial Sliding Doors combined with Viridian SmartGlass provided the perfect mix of performance and function for this application.

Northpoint Tower, centrally located in North Sydney CBD has been overhauled, with the redevelopment project including a newly-constructed hotel and a complete reclad of the façade using Vitracore G2.The use of Vitracore G2 in this reclad project has ensured a deemed non-combustible, durable and modern appearance to the development. Rondo has so far provided over 10,000lm of various wall and ceiling systems, including Rondo Steel Stud Drywall Framing System, KEY-LOCK Suspended Ceiling System and DUO Exposed Grid Ceiling System. More complicated designs arose when it was discovered that the high cyclonic winds would affect the facade of the building.

In need of a refresh, the entire Welly Road Early Learning Centre interior was refurbished, which included replacing the tired and outdated sheet vinyl flooring throughout the facility. When it came to choosing a suitable flooring solution, the design team at G8 Childcare identified a number of requirements for their childcare centre and engaged Asset Flooring to provide flooring to meet these unique specifications.

Rondo has worked alongside Lend Lease to build a stadium that will benefit Western Sydney’s sporting culture immensely. The stadium required continuous onsite reviews including the change of design by our technical team. Rondo’s Steel Stud and Track Wall Framing system was used for the external walls in addition to our Top Hats and Top Hat cleats.

The project has utilised a various range of Rondo products, including Stud and Track, DUO Concealed Grid System and PANTHER Access Panels to name a few. Rondo generously donated many of these products to this amazing charity, part FOC and part subsidised. Rondo’s Seismic products within each system included DUO Perimeter Trim Sliding Clip (Rondo 850), KEY-LOCK TCR Seismic Joiner (Rondo 865) and Seismic plenum braces. With the KEY-LOCK Seismic Concealed Ceiling System, two-side fixed, free wall perimeter connections and Rondo 141 Wall Track (1.15BMT to suit 129 Furring Channel) was used.

Due to tight plenum space and extremely congested plenum areas, Rondo’s new Xpress Drywall Grid System was the ideal ceiling system to use. This maximised the ceiling heights in all guest rooms while offering compliant plenum vertical clearances. Contractors implemented Rondo’s intricate feature ceilings and bulkheads throughout the entire building, such areas included the lobby, restaurants and conference areas.

In the bathrooms, water-saving technologies were installed, including the 4-Star WELS rated Caroma Cube Wall-Faced Invisi Series II Toilet Suite, with its innovative Smartflush® technology and concealed cistern. The Caroma Cube Extension Wall Basin is matched with the WELS 5-star rated Caroma Liano Basin Mixer and completed with the Caroma Liano range of accessories.

This massive project took two years of construction to complete, and Rondo’s technical services team were able to provide design solutions for challenging areas in the project. This included a heavy gauge 150mm Steel Stud Wall Framing System which required alignment with and concealment of the structural frame of the building, and a 6 metre high internal dividing wall that was subjected to higher internal pressures due to the louvres installed.

Rondo and Allcoast worked together to achieve the curved corners in the feature ceiling. Although a great success, it was initially a tricky scenario to tackle due to the difficult shape that a tiered, KEY-LOCK Ceiling offers, including tight bends and corners. To form the curve in the ceiling, the contractor had to utilise plywood and cut to the same shape of the corner. Not only did this provide the desired effect, it added additional strength to the Rondo framework.

GWA Bathroom & Kitchens worked collaboratively with Architectus and Grocon to supply a full schedule of fittings, including reduced flow tapware and water saving toilet suites. This installation, together with the building’s innovative recycling technology, is saving approximately 100,000 litres of water per day, helping 1 Bligh meet its 6 Green Star rating - the highest Green Star rating for a commercial development across NSW.

Ocean Keys is a major shopping destination in Clarkson, one of Perth’s new fast growing suburbs. This $100 million expansion completed in October 2014 included the addition of retail and fresh food stores and new residential apartments. The shopping complex is now 65% larger with a total floor space of 35,000m². Rondo supplied Key- Lock Concealed Ceiling System and steel framing for the extensive plasterboard soffits and bulkheads on the project.

The tower corridors to the hotel rooms followed a slight curve and the Rondo Technical Services Team were engaged to provide many engineered designs for both internal and external wall framings, as well as internal ceilings and external soffit framings. This included Stud & Track, MAXIframe External Wall Framing System, EXANGLE Finishing Sections and PANTHER Access Panels, all needed to meet the detail required throughout the tower and podium levels.

he developments $247.3m price tag makes it marginally more expensive than the $246m Adelaide University building next door. HIB will house the Centre for Cancer Biology and UniSA’s pharmacy school, with 450 researchers between them. Rondo’s involvement included providing ceiling and wall systems using our Shaftwall One-Way Erected System, KEY-LOCK Concealed Ceiling System and PANTHER Access Panels to create the desired effect.

This new building was constructed by Lend Lease with Foxville Projects Group (NSW) being appointed as the lead fit out contractor. Rondo supplied an extensive range of ceiling and partition systems, as well as technical support throughout the project, which included design for all the internal walls, shelf loads, balustrade design utilising stud and track as well as ongoing support throughout the project construction period in regards to Rondo products within the design criteria.

MP Group were charged with managing the installation and finishing of all internal and external walls and this is also where Rondo offered our support. With the external structural steel framing having been installed 150mm out of position, Rondo’s Technical Services Team came to the rescue and designed an external stud wall system using our MAXIframe External Wall Framing System to ‘fill the gap,’ including design of special header bracing details to support the wall.
