Application

Suitable for varying construction applications such as standard purlin construction (single skin roof applications, i.e. sheeting to purlin with no ceiling), vertical wall, conical tapered roof profile and built-up roof system applications. It is also ideal for curved buildings such as sports stadia.

Published load capacity data is derived from testing in accordance with:

Published Limit state capacities are suitable to determine structural adequacy and serviceability in accordance with:

  •       AS/NZS 1170.0:2002 Structural design actions, Part 0: General principles.
  •       AS/NZS 1170.1:2002 (Reconfirmed 2016) Structural design actions, Part 1: Permanent, imposed and other actions.
  •       AS/NZS 1170.2:2011 (Reconfirmed 2016) Structural design actions, Part 2: Wind actions.

Published installation guidelines align with AS 1562.1:2018 Design and Installation of sheet and wall cladding.

 

Fielders steel products comply with:

  •       AS 1397:2011 Continuous hot-dip metallic coated steel sheet and strip - Coatings of zinc and zinc alloyed with aluminium and magnesium.
  •       AS/NZS 2728:2013 Prefinished/prepainted sheet metal products for interior/exterior building applications - Performance requirements.
  •       AS 1397:2011 which defines the coating types and classes and steel grades for hot dip metallic coated steel.

FreeForm® is a structural standing-seam cladding profile that is recognised as the world's most thoroughly tested and developed roofing. It provides the freedom to form organic flowing shapes whilst providing durability and security for modern structures. Some of its features include:

Curving limitations for FreeForm® vary depending on material thickness and curving method.

  • For spring curved or naturally curved, minimum radii is 45 to 50 m for convex and 50 to 55 m for concave.
  • For smooth pre-curved or mechanically curved, minimum radii is 2 to 4 m for convex and 8 to 12 m for concave.
  • For crank curved, minimum radii is 2 to 3 m for convex. Crank curving is not available with concave applications.
